ACTIVITIES
Activity 1: Obtain copies of at least two graphs charting the population growth of the United States during different time spans. For example, one may span the 1970’s decade and the other may span the 1950’s. Allow students to compare the information and write down predictions of how the population may have changed during a separate decade given by the teacher. Display the graph of the separate decade and allow students to determine if their predictions were correct. You will also discuss what other information, besides the graphs, may have been used to influence the prediction.
